What is the LMS?

LMS stands for Learning Management System; an online hub filled with a variety of on-demand business courses and career tracks designed to enhance your material handling career development.

Who is the LMS designed for?

The LMS is designed for individuals working at companies involved in the material handling industry.  MHEDA created this training portal as an exclusive Members Only resource! Find career tracks and individual courses for:

What are Career Tracks?

Career Tracks are groups of individual business courses packaged together based on the different careers in the material handling industry. MHEDA has assembled nine career tracks for you to choose frm.

What are Individual Courses?

Individual courses represent a variety of essential business topics. Design your own learning path and choose courses that are right for you/your team. Courses are available as:

  • MHEDA Conference Videos - Recorded MHEDA Conference presentations; presented by Members and Industry Experts.
  • Business Modules - Group of shorter sessions under one main topic.
  • MHEDA Webinars  - Recorded MHEDA webinars; presented by Members and Industry Experts.

Can I give access to the courses and/or career tracks to my entire team?

Similar to a University course, courses in the LMS are registered per individual so that test scores and certificates of completion can be correctly awarded.

How long do I have access to a course or career track?

You will have access to the course or career track for one year frm the date of registration.

Where do I find a list of all the courses and career tracks?

Visit www.mheda.org/LMS to find LMS career tracks or individual courses that are right for you and your team! You can view the full list in the Course Library frm the navigation bar below the header. You can even search the available courses by keyword.

How do I login and register for a course or career track?

The LMS courses are an exclusive benefit for MHEDA members so you must login with your member account. This is the same account used on the main mheda.org website. You can reset your password or create a new account if necessary (see below). Login to your account at www.mheda.org/LMS and view the Course Library for a complete list of Career Tracks and Individual Courses. Choose “add to cart” for the course you want and then follow the directions to continue shopping for additional courses or checkout with a credit card. You will then have immediate access to those courses and/or career tracks.

How do I reset my password?

If you already have a member account with MHEDA but do not know your password, choose “I lost my password” below the login at www.mheda.org/LMS. Enter the company email address associated with your account and click Submit. You will receive an email with a link to reset your password. Be sure to check your spam folder if you don’t see the message in your inbox. If you have problems receiving this message or accessing the link, contact Lori Zarling at lzarling@mheda.org.

How do I create a new account?

If you are an employee of a MHEDA member company but do not have an account, you can create a new account online. Choose “Create An Account” below the login at www.mheda.org/LMS. Follow the steps to complete all the requested information. When asked for your company, be sure to search for your company as directed to correctly attach your account as an employee of the MHEDA member. Please note, you cannot have multiple accounts using the same email address. If you have problems creating this account, contact Lori Zarling at lzarling@mheda.org.

Where do I access the course after I complete registration?

You can access your course or career track for one year after the date of registration. To access the course, login to your account www.mheda.org/LMS. Then go to the “My Courses” page which is found as the first item in the navigation bar below the header. This page will list any courses or career tracks that have been registered to you within the last year. Click on the title of the course you want to view and the course will open in a new window. For courses that have multiple segments, you will find a menu of those segments on the left side of the course page so you are able to view any specific segment. The LMS will track your progress by checking off segments as you complete them and pass the quiz.

As a manager/supervisor, can I view my employees’ progress and results for a course and/or career track?

Yes, you can request access to employees’ progress. With this access, you will login to your account to view the list of employees assigned to you. For each employee, you will see the time spent on a course, the percent of the course completed, and the test result percentage. To request this access, contact Lori Zarling at lzarling@mheda.org with the names of your employees.

Can I see a sample of the system or course before I register?

You can see a number of short preview clips on the LMS site by choosing “Course Previews” in the navigation bar below the header on the LMS site at www.mheda.org/LMS. These clips will also appear on the individual course descriptions when applicable. Additional previews are being added. Forklift Bootcamp FAQs

What is Forklift Bootcamp?

MHEDA's Forklift Bootcamp is an online video series that helps your new hires and employees in non-technician roles gain an understanding of the products and jargon in the material handling industry. This is an affordable and easy way to introduce new team members to your dealership.

Who is the Forklift Bootcamp designed for?

This is a non-technical program designed for the employees or new hires at a forklift dealership. New employees will have the best chance to succeed if they first gain a basic understanding of our industry, our products, and our jargon. This 5-part series, presented by Dave Baiocchi, President, Resonant Dealer Services LLC, gives the industry background needed to start out right.

How long do I have access to the Forklift Bootcamp?

Like all of MHEDA’s LMS courses, you will have access to the Forklift Bootcamp program for one year frm date of purchase.

How many people may access the Forklift Bootcamp?
